Pathfinder is a distributed experiment in blind, self-avoiding random walks. This page is the front door: a compact dashboard of the fleet, the saved path library, the uncensored population, and the project’s reference pages.
The live operations report: machines, workers, paths per hour, keeper rate, and per-client fortune.
→The scientific notebook: distributions, records, symmetry checks, population truth, growth, and coverage.
→The merged sample catalogue used to compare client output and inspect aggregate path direction and length traces.
→A taxonomy of path personalities with representative traces, biographies, percentiles, and species summaries.
→A browsable gallery of saved specimens with drill-down pages for individual walks and their measured traits.
→The reference manual: data pipeline, dictionary of fields, equations, provenance, and available snapshot blocks.

Marathoners are long survivors (N≥3000), Voyagers are wide explorers (Rmax≥300), and Legends satisfy both. The dashboards keep these labels, measurements, and visual grammar consistent: black ink for traces and observations, red accents for reference or thresholds, and the paper-like surface for the project notebook.
For definitions, equations, and snapshot provenance, use Methods & Data Dictionary. For individual examples, start with the Path Explorer or the narrative Bestiary.
